Austraalia löökpillimängija Adam Jeffrey nimetati novembris 2023 ERSO löökpillide abikontsertmeistriks, mis on tema kolmas tööpositsioon professionaalses Eesti orkestris. Varasemad ametikohad on olnud Vanemuise teatri (2021-23) ja Rahvusooper Estonia (2014-18) timpan-kontsertmeister. Alates 2016. aastast on ta ka Eesti Festivaliorkestri liige, esinedes igal suvel Pärnus ja mitmetel rahvusvahelistel tuuridel.
Aastatel 2022-24 oli ta katseajal kontsertmeister-timpan ametikohal Royal Philharmonic (London) ja National Symphony Orchestra (Dublin, endine RTÉ) koosseisudes, esinedes mitmesugustes projektides ja tuuridel Suurbritannias ja Euroopas. Aastate jooksul on ta olnud sarnastel ametikohtadel Sydney ja Melbourne’i sümfooniaorkestris (Austraalia), Berni sümfooniaorkestris (Šveits) ja Opera North’is (UK).
Lisaks on ta koostööd teinud mitmete ansamblitega üle maailma, nende hulgas Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Verbier Chamber Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic, Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich, Zürich Opera ja Soome Raadio sümfooniaorkester.
Tema suur huvi kaasaegse muusika vastu on toonud talle ka esinemised mitmete tunnustatud ansamblitega erinevates riikides, nagu Synergy Percussion (Austraalia), Asko/Schönberg, Lunatree ja Ensemble SCALA (Holland) ning samuti ka festivalidel, mida korraldavad Ensemble Modern (Saksamaa) ja Bang on a Can All-Stars (USA).
Adamil on bakalaureuse ja magistri diplomid Zürichi, Amsterdami, Sydney ja Canberra konservatooriumidest.
Australian percussionist Adam Jeffrey was appointed Co-Principal Timpani of the Estonian National Symphony (ERSO) in November 2023, his third orchestral appointment in Estonia. Previous positions include Principal Timpani with the Vanemuine Theatre (2021-23) and the Estonian National Opera (2014-18). Since 2016 he has also been a member of the Estonian Festival Orchestra, performing in Pärnu every summer and in numerous international tours.
From 2022-24 he was an ongoing triallist for Principal Timpani positions with the Royal Philharmonic (London) and the National Symphony Orchestra (Dublin, formerly RTÉ), performing in a diverse array of projects and tours across the UK and Europe.
Over the years he has held similar positions with the Sydney and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras (Australia), Bern Symphony (Switzerland) and Opera North
(UK). Additionally, he has performed as a guest player with a variety of ensembles around the world, including the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Verbier Chamber Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic, Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich, Zürich Opera, and the Finnish Radio Symphony.
His interest in contemporary music has also seen him perform with a number of acclaimed ensembles in various countries, including Synergy Percussion (AUS), Asko/Schönberg, Lunatree and Ensemble SCALA (NL), as well as at festivals presented by Ensemble Modern (DE) and the Bang on a Can All-Stars (US).
Adam holds qualifications from conservatories in Zürich, Amsterdam, Sydney and Canberra.
